We have set aside the fishing rods for our shot guns and rifles (although we have a late-season halibut mission on the books this weekend) and waterfowl season opened here September 16th. Deer has been open since August 1st, and closes at the end of December.
Here is a look at what we have been up to....
At the beginning of September Pat spent 2 weeks down in Petersburg, Alaska at the LeConte Glacier recovering their field equipment that they installed in the beginning of May.

Pat got back from LeConte with 1 day to spend in Juneau before he flew to Anchorage for a conference, and we were able to hunt the Fall Waterfowl opener together before he flew out.

After Pat got back from Anchorage, we again had one day of R & R, and then flew to Seattle for the Monday night Packer vs. Seahawks football game. Besides the WORST CALL IN HISTORY, the game was great!

This past Wednesday Barley and I hiked up to Roberts Peak, 3800 feet up from sea level. We hit the current snowline, which has slowly started creeping down the mountains.
